In 2005, I started a passionate search for the best processes to transform one's personal life and create mutually empowered compassionate relationships. Having left an abusive relationship, I chose teachings that modeled equality, prioritized compassion and understanding, recognized the wisdom in emotions, and helped people clarify priorities and stay true to them. I invested heavily in a few of the most effective, experiential philosophies and systems for psychological, social, and spiritual development. First I learned how to weave these teachings together and embody them in my own life, and then I began to enthusiastically share them with others. Here are some highlights of how I help clients.
You may be wondering what goes into my 'special sauce?' I completed my International Coach Federation Certification in early 2022. Since 2005 I've primarily drawn from Marshall Rosenberg's Nonviolent Communication, and Mindfulness, inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh. I've completed 9 month teacher trainings in both of these modalities. I've also done extensive codependent recovery work since 2005, with mentoring.
After years of embodying these principles, I started leading mindful hikes in 2016 and facilitating workshops in 2018. Before that, I was a teacher for 15 years, and earned my PhD in Educational Equity and Cultural Diversity. My work is interactive and engaging for the whole being, not just the mind.
